Since my San Diego one was so popular, I thought I’d do a follow up! This applies to anytime you are flying from the South and West of Providence… which is pretty much most airports in the US that you’d fly into Prov from. You fly up the bay and get to see the Newport and Jamestown bridges regardless if you land from the North or South. The plane almost ALWAYS flies up that flight path and will circle around Providence very closely if it needs to land coming from the North. Not to knock West RI… but it’s pretty boring to look at flying in, less defining of RI. But I’m pretty biased as someone who’s from East RI and Prov.
(Edit for all those people ranting… I KNOW THE AIRPORT IS REALLY IN WARWICK. This was just a fun little informational post for those people who don’t know Rhody and want the best view when flying in.)
